HMAS Maryborough

HMAS Maryborough Electrical

The Frontier team were engaged as Electrical Maintenance Support on HMAS Maryborough during repairs to re-establish the vessel to an operational state after receiving devastating fire damage. Tasks performed included all engine control and monitoring with integration back to the existing Marine Link system, cable runs with bulkhead penetrations in accordance with supplied drawings, installation and connection of new switchboards, and testing and commissioning of all electrical systems. Frontier Marine Services staff were also engaged in the final stages of sea trials prior to the vessel being placed back in service. During this project Frontier Marine Services staff were proud to be engaged by Thales and were able to harmoniously work alongside and support other local electricians.

Cullen Bay Lead Lights Upgrade

Our team removed the existing lead light structures on the North and South rock walls and also old lateral marker on the end of the sandbar. We undertook the  fabrication of new aluminium mounting poles to suit Sealite 10 degree port entry light with a solar and battery bank. 

Systems were commisioned in accordance with the design specifications supplied by the client. We certified the heading alignment completed for The Australian Hydrographic Office.

Megatron Recreational Fishing Boat

The team love to fish here at Frontier Marine Services, so this was a great project to undertake. We supplied and installed a Simrad NSO 24 inch screen and processor to suit the new console design. We also supplied and installed a Simrad BSM1 with 3D structure scan and 50/200khz transom mount transducer. 

All recreation boats need a decent sound system! A Fusion DVD player and sound system with amplifier was supplied and installed. The DVD system plays movies on the 24 inch Simrad LCD screen. Underwater lights were fitted with a remote control for colour changing of the lights.

Complete Re-Fit of Electrical Systems

Darwin Tug and Line Company awarded Frontier Marine Services the contract to carry out a complete re-fit of the electrical systems to their tug vessel 4. We supplied and installed the Hella navigation and flood lights, new engine gauges and new dash panel. We supplied and installed the Lowrance HDS 9 multi function display, a new distribution board with BEP waterproof circuit protection. A new Vesper AIS system was also supplied and installed.
